BME Films took home “Best Drama” in the Shorts 2 category this year at the FirstGlance Films Festival in Philadelphia, PA. The film screened to a packed house on Friday, Oct 14th at The Franklin Institute. Congrats to the cast and crew of The Wallet and thanks to all who came out to support independent filmmaking!

BME Films is honored to be invited to screen The Wallet at this years LA Shorts Fest as an Official Selection in competition. The winning shorts from this festival are granted eligibility to be considered for an Academy Award nomination. Also up for grabs is a $60,000 camera package from Panavision!
The festival runs from July 21-29 at the Laemmle Sunset 5 Theaters in Hollywood. We will be screening on July 25th at 7:45 as part of Program 23. Tickets are available at the theater box office or can be purchased online at Laemmle’s website. For more information on Program 23, go HERE.
Come hang with BME Films and the good people at First Glance Film Fests at the Showbiz Store and Cafe as we celebrate short film making! Among other short films screening will be Sebastian Stenhøj’s To Live and Dine in L.A. Show your support as we compete for the Audience Favorite Award and over $400 in prizes!
On April 30th at 10am, the Cleveland High School Media Academy will host its annual showcase at the Laemmle Fallbrook 7 theater in West Hills. Dubbed this year as the “Homecoming Film Festival,” the festival will showcase the work of three former Media Academy graduates, along with this years batch of student filmmakers. Of the three alumni to be featured is BME’s Mike Manning. Tickets are $5 and the proceeds go right back into the department so that the students can keep making films.
BME Films is honored to be returning to the Newport Beach Film Festival this year with The Wallet, which has been selected by the festival as a 2011 Official Selection.
